Reviews
Very fusion seafood dishes and most of the dishes were created by their own.
Ordered quite a few of their mains and sides as we were a big group sharing and trying all dishes.
Best dish was the prawn aglio alio. Prawns were quite fresh and big.
Service was excellent. Young servers were helpful in all ways.
Rather small restaurant, but it's cozy and serves up amazing food. I actually enjoyed the appetizers a lot more than I did the mains, but those were really good as well! The star of the show is definitely the KFC, crispy and tender in the right places, crazy good!! I also really liked the pate with the bread that was fried to golden brown. Their IPA was also great, really floral and bitter enough for it to shine through. Don't have much photos cause I got too carried away eating but you honestly can't miss with their menu!
Very good food and service!
Farm to table concept. We tried the mussels in curry (very flavourful!), fried squid and some fish which was served with pickled starfruit. All very delicious. You can order some wine to go with the food. Servers will tell you more about the dish when it is served.. attentive service.
Ordered the Curry Mussels , XoXo potato , crispy Korean squid and pasta and some fish.
Curry Mussels - Mussels was very fresh in Indian curry coupled with Mantou. 3.8/5
Korean squid - nothing special at all, batter not soft, etc... typical bar food
Xoxo potato - really not a good mix of He Bee Hiam, potato and scallion. All three main ingredients did not complement each other.
Fish Pasta - fish was not seasoned as they mentioned, so I would expect the pasta to be stellar and stand out. No, it was mediocre at best for the price and the ambience of the restaurant. I wouldn't even re order it at $10. Massive fail.
Beer- IPA sweet water, unbalance beer with strong frontal nodes. Tiger beer much better :)
Overall would give 3.6 mainly for ambience and service :)
Service staff was attentive and explained dishes well, but the dishes failed to impress
Farm-to-Table Seafood place with an unique take on seafood. Dishes were more misses than hits but I attribute to more of personal tastes. Prices are rather steep as well.
FOOD
+ Fish Collar was really unique. Skin was fried proper crispy without excessive oiliness with the 'fishiness' taste barely noticeable. Flesh was tender.
+ the IPA. Must order drink to go with the fried fish collar in my opinion.
+ Prawns were well roasted. Succulence & taste were on point.
+ Flat bread starter & seafood risotto were decent dishes.
- Aglio Olio was also decent though it was perhaps a touch too greasy
- Char Siew fish with soba was not to liking. Fish skin was hard to chew off, but the saltiness of the soba was the really the 'downer'.
SERVICE
+ Great service. The few places where that service charge is highly if not more than justified. Staff that attended to us was quick to offer us suggestions / recommendations as we were looking through the menu.
+ The attentiveness was 1st class too. Upon seeing that we had yet to finish our starters, she asked if we wanted to mains to be served later.
+ When I provided the feedback that the soba were too salty, she offered to exchange or do something. To which we declined as we were already full & really just wanted to provide the feedback
ATMOSPHERE
+ Nice, cosy and clean environment. Well worth place for gatherings.
First time dining here and it was a great experience! Yukie was assigned to our table and she was very friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. All the dishes were so delicious that it was left speck clean after it was served, and goes really well with the 2 bottles of wine we ordered.
The restaurant is very kind to serve us a free dessert as it was a birthday celebration for my friend! Will definitely come back again 🥂
Restaurant that you need to book in advance because there is limited seats in this small establishment and a lot of customers who love their food. Fresh and innovative fusion dishes that is not super strong on the palette to let the freshness of the ingredients shine through. Highly recommended.
First of all, the service is commendable , the staff are friendly and took some time to give a brief explanation of each dish when they serve it.
Most of the dishes are pretty good. Quite enjoyed the lala and the KFC fish thingy is surprising crispy and fresh, only thing the most bowls are quite small, and the sauce or gravy are all at the bottom, kinda hard to reach.
Enjoyed the meal. Thanks!
